Merry Christmas.

I haven't really had time to make my usual Christmas cards this year, so I thought I'd do a "year in review" instead. Merry Christmas!

I spent a lot of time with friends:

In Oxford for my birthday! A good time.
Me, Laura and Kim at Taylor Swift in Nashville (really, Needtobreathe).
Taylor flew over us.

The "Fab Five"...my best friends from high school got together this year. It was a good time.
My famous friends - Tripp and Paul. Paul is a producer in Nashville and is up for a grammy. Yea, they are cool.
The Tupelo girls -- they adopted me. :)
Family and very special lifelong friends!
Loved on these two alot. My little hearts. They move up North this coming year....means I'll be traveling LOTS to see them!
My friend Sarah from Ole Miss. We were on the first row for Sara Bareilles in Birmingham. SO GOOD!

I celebrated lots of weddings.

Ann and me. Good times.
My sweet friend and coworker Mallory. She, too, thought she was Beyonce!
My roommate and sweet friend Laura got married!
Sweet Michael and Reagan. Such a fun time!
Good times!

I went on some pretty stellar trips.

 Mountains of Georgia
Sonoma, California.
At a winery in Napa.

San Francisco.

Caroline, me and my Uncle Mike in Pinehurst, N.C.
The family at UNC. We used to go here every summer as I was growing up.
Best hotel ever in Boston! It was an old prison.
View of Boston from my room. Love that city so much.
Working a show in Boston.

I'm still very much obsessed with the sky. Believe the good Lord paints it just for me. :) (these are just a few of MANY I took!)

I lived in Oxford for five months. (Yea, I say that casually....but it's true.)

Driving the gater around with one of our art directors. Feels good to be an "adult" on campus and students wonder how you have a golf cart!

Beautiful Lyceum.
The Square. I love.

Spent some time in the athletic facilities after hours when planning TV. Laid down on the 50 yard line. Yep. Fun.
It's snowed twice since I've been up there. Love.

Beautiful Catalpa Tree.
Loving some Rebel athletics (especially b-ball since we aren't really struggling there!)!
Shooting the TV spot in the Grove. So fun. Spot turned out great!
Working on a proposal in the Grove. Love that aspect of living in Oxford in the fall!

Celebrated my lifelong friends new babies!

Bought the sweetest, most loving puppy ever - MABEL, my heart.

Celebrated a milestone in my daddy's life....it was a "surprise" and tons of people came to see him and celebrate. Lots of fun!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May you have a blessed holiday season and a wonderful 2012!

Act of Service.

I am absolutely spent. I've been sick for six weeks with pneumonia, bronchitis and a sinus infection...yet still traveling and only took two days off for work. Smart? No. Even my boss told me last week that I had to learn to stop and rest when I got sick.

So that's that. I'm learning that sickness oftentimes comes because our body is saying please rest. Please stop. Please learn to say no. Please put that project aside for a little while. Please stay in your pj's all day. Please go to the spa. PLEASE....for the love of mankind.

My best friend Kendall is having her baby as we speak. She texted me this morning "MY WATER JUST BROKE"....and then called....and of course I had to ask how all of that process worked (we are friends like that...)..."but wait, how does that feel?!". At any rate, I promised her I'd be there when her sweet baby was born. And I intend on keeping that promise.

And my mom, sweet as she can be, is going to drive me up to Memphis in the morning so I can see my bestie and meet her baby. Such a kind, kind act of service. Don't ever overlook those moments. So very precious. She knows my exhaustion and is choosing to bless my life so I can share this major blessing with a best friend....and in turn, we'll get great time together as well!

Spacing.

When I built my home, I wanted to create an area to house invites, pictures, etc. -- really so that I could keep up with weddings, etc. So, there is a small space outside my room that was perfect for a little table and bulletin board.

The table is a cheap wooden table (it you look close, you can tell!), that I covered with Amy Butler fabric and clear covering to hold the fabric in place. I bought the bulletin board at Hobby Lobby and wallah, I have the little space I wanted. I need a nicer table, but this one suffices for now.
