Santa Baby.

Tonight I went to eat dinner with a sweet new friend at AJAX. It's amazing how age goes flying out the window and the Lord can bless you with young friends full of wisdom and grace. That God never lets me down! We sat at the front (I LOVE to watch people walk by) but mainly love the two santas -- two ethnicity's, both holding puppies, hanging out in the window. Love, love, love. If you ever get to Oxford, go to AJAX and eat the veggie plate. Nom, Nom, Nom.

A Warm Beanie.

I've always threatened to move north.....and then we get a bout of cold weather here and I reconsider. It's freeezzzzing here. And this beanie is all I've got to keep me warm. That and my blue uggs. From an outsiders perspective, I look like a hot mess.

A Thought To Ponder.

Ole Miss.

I love this place. It is so beautiful, and I have so many wonderful memories here. I was honored to sit in the Chancellor's box a few weeks back, and that was definitely a large treat.
I went to the library the other day to get coffee at the Starbucks and snapped this picture of the Lyceum on the way. Sometimes I forget about the beauty of this place....

Thanksgiving.

The kids had a blast helping us at Thanksgiving. Sweet babies helped make Monkey break (a tradition) for Thursday morning breakfast. So sweet. And YUM!

And we had lunch one day at Brent's -- a family favorite. They were so happy I was home for the week!

Mabel These Days.

She is a MAJOR cuddle bunny. I'm fearful she's going to have separation
anxiety. eeeek.

House Updates.

I FINALLLLLLY finished my room. Ridiculous, but technically, I've only lived in my home for seven months. I love, love, love this space, though, and think the mirrors with the old frame finished out the space well.

My Christmas tree this year. It's little, but sweet. Makes me happy.
Beautiful back yard. With a sweet pup carrying sticks to the porch.

Burlap Wreaths.

This was my second project of the week. I saw this on Facebook and Pinterest, and really wanted to make one (or two since I have two doors). I LOVE the natural color burlap, but decided to do green for the holidays. I am certain I will create natural colored ones for later. This project was so easy, and SOOOO messy -- I moved outside it was so messy. Overall, I was really pleased with how they turned out.

What you will need:
2 yards of burlap (for 2 wreaths)
2 wire wreath molds (see pictures)
12 yards of ribbon for bows (6 yards each)
Scissors

How to make: Cut the burlap in strips (see pic below). And then start tying in one knot in each section. Continue around the wire mold until it is full.

Ornaments.

So I saw these awesome ornaments on Pinterest and just had to make some. So I called my friend Emily and said let's go! So we did. And it was a blast. I enjoyed it so much that I took my niece to the store and we made more. She said at least ten times it was the most fun she had ever had (she says that with every new experience).

What you need:
Clear glass ornaments (I used plastic too and glass worked so much better)
Acrylic paint

How to make it: Pour small amounts of the paint in the ball and move around. Once you've got the glass covered, put the tops on and spin the balls. If you let the balls sit, they will create a streaking affect over night. Easy, and fun! You can't mess them up. Some paint may sit in the bottom of the ornament, just pour out once you have your desired look.

Busy.

Well, well. Life has been so busy lately. Between tearing up the roads, finishing out this current project, and preparing for the holidays, I haven't had much down time at all. Which obviously means the blog is neglected, per the very first post.

I have enjoyed some good music, fun times with friends, and had a great week of arts and crafts during Thanksgiving. It was such a great week off. So...here are a few updates from those concerts/projects.
