Are you kidding me?

The beloved helmet. Way too heavy for me.

Indoor facilities.

Cool poster on the wall.

Walking out of the lockerroom.

Kentrell Lockett. Glad to see him back.

This is an underwater treadmill -- it lowers down into water. So very cool.

50 yard line at night.

End zone at night.

So I am spending a good bit of time in Oxford working, really enjoying what I'm doing. I love Ole Miss -- it's a part of me, so I'm glad to be back up here some.

Today we had an event in the indoor practice facility followed by a tour of the lockerroom, a walk down the tunnel to the field, some time on the field, etc. It was so fun to be "behind the scenes"...thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Family Trip.

Our cabin:

Family 1/3 up the waterfall. Caro and I led the pack (fast) and she kept saying, "Mamie, this is so hard!"

Over the 4th of July, my family decided to do something different than the usual. Instead of our annual trip to the beach, we piled up and went to a cabin on the border of Georgia/NC/Tennessee. I can honestly say it was one of the best family trips, if not the best, that we've ever had. We stayed in a 3-story cabin (we each had our own floor) in the middle of nowhere. The cabin had a pool table, hot tub, outside fire place, stream-like feature, and wrap around porch. AND, each floor had their own balcony. It was insane. The views were gorgeous, the time was precious, we had so much quality time together. I believe we turned the TV on twice. (If you know me, you know how sweet this is to me....I love quality/quiet time with people I love.)

We took one day for shopping in Atlanta and on the outskirts and the rest of the time we hiked (the start of the Appalachian Trail), played in streams, acted like mountain people (can you believe that about me?!), ate at the top of the mountain, cooked all but two of our meals together, grilled, played cards, pool, snuggled. It was just a very sweet time. I highly, highly, highly recommend!

Below are pics. Of course the camera can not do it justice.

The fireplace at our cabin. We built fires every night. It was cool enough! We made smores the last night.

The view from my balcony. Love.

Weddings.

My sweet friend Laura got married a few weeks back and she so sweetly invited me to read scripture and pray in her wedding. I have to say that is probably one of my favorite roles to play in a wedding -- you truly are able to use God's word to encourage the two as they become one, and intercede on their behalf.

It was a good time of reunion among my friends. Enjoyed every minute of it! Congrats to Laura and Glenn!

This is the sunset the night of her rehearsal dinner. Absolutely GORGEOUS!
