My little companion.

When I decided to buy a dog, I had no idea it would change my life.
I had no idea I would be stripped of some of my independence.
I had no idea I was allowing something to be dependent on me.
I had no idea I was going to have to clean up as much poop in her pen as I did the first two weeks.
I had no idea I would question the decision I had made.
I had no idea that I would daily grow to love her so deeply.
I had no idea I would love coming home to see her sweet self get excited about me being home.
I had no idea that as she stood under me while I got ready in the morning, the sweet little touch of her fur would show me her love.
I had no idea that a dog could love so hard.
I had no idea she would already be so loyal.
I had no idea she would change my life.
Love this little boo...so thankful for her!

Mabel.

She is growing like crazy! She gets the hiccups often which lets me know her sweet little self is getting bigger!

This is a pic I took two weeks ago:

And this one I took last night (yes, she has a sweater. She makes me so sad how she shakes in this cold weather!)

"Big Dog" (aka Gabby -- my parents lab) was over this weekend. Gabby is so sweet with Mabel and endures her pesky self. I filmed the interaction between the two and love Gabby's face. She's totally looking at me saying, "really. seriously. she's like 5 lbs."

The Pumpkin Door Hangers.

If you read this regularly, you saw the pumpkins I was working on with my SIL and mom. You can reference here. So, I finished them and they are sooooo cute. Many have threatened to copy and I say COPY AWAY!

Break Thru 2011.

So most people would tell you they loved college wayyy more than high school. And most people say they would NEVER go back to high school. Well, I, and most of my friends, feel differently. We had such an amazing group of friends back in the day, and truly loved our time together in high school.

Growing up, we all went to a retreat called Break Thru every year in Alabama. It happened to fall right after Christmas and was one of the best ways to start the new year. So, many years later, we had a reunion to relive our time at Break Thru, see each other and worship together -- a great time for sure!

My friends Tripp and Paul. Both in Nashville, both musicians. Paul just produced Mat Kearney's new album. They are both pretty cool people.

Me and four of my best high school friends. Chrissy hadn't gotten there yet.

P and C. The kids got to come too and had an absolute blast running on all that land.

Worshiping. Just like old times -- Bethany Barr Phillips, David Cooke, Paul Moak and Tripp Ethridge.

Just loved this. Very peaceful area.

This is my friend Ben. We call each other Cleatus. Thankful for our friendship throughout the years!

My best Kendall. Love her to pieces.

Maggie, my bro and me.
